ABOUT US
The
VICZOO Press is a small company that designs and manufactures
fine notecards and greeting cards. We research 18th, 19th and
early 20th Century sources for quality engravings and other interesting
images. Using the best offset printing processes, we produce the
cards on one of America's finest papers. VICZOO products are manufactured
in America. Our products are interesting art, are often unique,
have a historical context and contain an educational element.
We focus on engravings from the era before the broad application of photography. Our early blank notecards are primarily black and white animal images. Today most of our cards are four color images, the most popular being botanicals, birds and butterflies. Our selection of about 50 botanical notecards is the largest early botanical selection available. Perhaps our most unusual and very popular line is the art nouveau and art deco playing card images.
Because our strength and primary interest is in the reproduction of historic images, we invite custom work from museums and historical sites. We specialize in small volume custom printing of quality notecards.
VICZOO was founded by Tom Jaras, a retired historian of the Nineteenth Century who has spent a good part of his life in libraries and archives paging through quality engravings. Dr. Jaras and the VICZOO staff look forward to your inquiries.
