CURTIS BOTANICALS
These are
some of the first entries (1788-1790) in William Curtis' gardening
magazine. Curtis, a trained pharmacist living in London, was
most interested in flora and insects.

ORCHIDS
Jean Linden
(1817-1898) was the greatest of all the 19th Century commerical
orchid growers. Over a 17 year period he and his son published
the most extensive book of orchids.
