J.G. WOOD'S BLACK & WHITE ENGRAVINGS Rev. Wood's zoology books contain some of the best animal engravings of the 19th Century. His American work, Animate Creation, published in 1885 and 1898 contributed substantially to the growth of popular zoology education in America.
